<p>PURPOSE:To produce a highly transparent toner with the grain diameter easily adjusted and with the narrow grain size distribution obtained easily and efficiently by passing a composition consisting essentially of a thermoplastic resin and org. solvent through a porous glass to granulate the composition and dyeing the granulated grains. CONSTITUTION:A composition consisting essentially of a thermoplastic resin and org. solvent is diluted with methyl acetate and charged into an oil-phase vessel 5, and aq. PVA is filled in a vessel 3, agitated, passed through the inside of the porous glass tube 8 of a membrane emulsification module 2 by a liq. feed pump 10 and circulated. Meanwhile, the composition in the vessel 5 is pressurized by a nitrogen cylinder 4, introduced under pressure into the inside of the tube 8 from the outside thereof through an inlet 11 fitted to the outer cylinder 7 of the module 2, fed into the aq. PVA to form an oil drop and supplied to the dispersion vessel 3. The oil drop is dyed, the liq. mixture is agitated, methyl acetate is distilled off under reduced pressure, then the supernatant is removed, and the mixture is filtered and dried to obtain the powdery grain.</p> |
