PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of a porous base body due to a thermal shock by providing the base body for supporting a functional thick film at one main surface while discharging reaction gas at the other main surface, and mixing, molding and baking the base body with ceramics. CONSTITUTION:A porous base body supports a functional thick film at one main surface while discharges reaction gas at the other main surface. Ceramics fiber and electronically conductive ceramic are mixed, molded and baked, thus forming the base body. An anode substrate passes fuel gas to supply it to an anode. Since the orientation property of the ceramics fiber increases so as to make uniform dispersion difficult when a fiber diameter becomes large and a fiber length becomes long, a fiber diameter and a fiber length are made suitable. The content of the ceramics fiber to be dispersed into the porous base body is set to 0.5-30wt.% because the content is too small to exhibit fiber strength, is excessively small while it is too large to realize uniform dispersion. Consequently, it is possible to prevent the deterioration of the strength. |
