<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a tape tension controller which is capable of regularly winding a magnetic tape having low mechanical strength due to the narrow tape width and thin tape thickness without disturbed winding and also is excellent in the followup ability of the tape tension when the magnetic tape is wound at high speed. CONSTITUTION:An air leak groove 17 is formed on the inner surface of a vacuum chamber 14 so that the depth of the air leak groove 17 is changed in accordance with the attracting amount of the magnetic tape 13 introduced to this vaccum chamber 14 inside. Then, the amount of the air leaked through the groove 17 is made change in accordance with the attracting amount of the magnetic tape 13, and also the pressure changed in accordance with the amount of the leaked air is detected by a pressure gage 19.</p> |
