OPENING AND CLOSING COVER FOR CARD HANDLER AND ITS LOCKING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide an opening and closing cover which can easily and safely be opened and closed as to the ticket examining machine body of an automatic ticket examining machine and the locking device which can not unlock the opening and closing cover and ticket examining machine body unless an operation lever is operated in two directions. CONSTITUTION:On the prolongation of the support shaft 43 of a hinge 4 which enables the opening and closing cover C to be opened and closed, a torsion bar 5 which cancels the load on the opening and closing cover C in both reverse opening and closing directions so that the side plate 2 of the opening and closing cover C stops at an acute angle to the ticket examining machine body A is arranged. This locking device is constituted by fixing a case 15 to the reverse surface of the top plate 1 of the opening and closing cover C arranging a latch member 16 at the bottom part of this case 15 so that the latch member can engage and disengage with from the lock member A4 of the ticket examining machine body A, moving a pressure mem-ber 18 fixed to the operation lever 14 to the right or left side and retracting the latch member 16 so as to disengage it from the lock member A4.
