PURPOSE:To reduce the unnecessary processing in comparison with the case that a current system and a standby system individually have routing tables by sharing the routing table and its management between both systems to perform the routing control though almost all transmission line faults in a transmission network are caused by complete disconnection of an optical fiber cable. CONSTITUTION:In the network like a SONET basic transmission network where communication nodes are connected by the optical fiber cable where optical fibers of the current system and those of the standby system are stored, each communication node DCSI is provided with a routing table 10 shared between the current system and the standby system. A RIP 8 uses optical fibers of the standby system to exchange route information with the other communication nodes and updates the routing table 10. A routing processing part 9 refers to the routing table 10 to manage the routing of information applied to the current system and that to the standby system. |
