PURPOSE: To provide a branching device provided with a regenerator suitable for being used in a system provided with many branching devices. CONSTITUTION: This branching device is provided with the respective terminals 1, 2 and 3 of three line cables, an underwater grounding terminal, plural light generators 20 provided with mutually serially connected plural power feeding circuits requiring power feed, first, second and third electric relays A, B and C only one of which is energizable at one time and a forth electric relay D. Then, when power is supplied between the optional pair of the line cable terminals 1 and 3, the third line cable terminal 2 is separated from it and connected through the contactor D1 of the forth relay D to an underwater grounding point, the plural power feeding circuits of the light regenerator 20 are serially arranged between the line cable terminals 1 and 3 and thus, the power feed of the light regenerator 20 is performed. |
