PURPOSE:To reduce the load of a CPU by eliminating the need always porting the addresses of the sound source data by the CPU. CONSTITUTION:This sound information processor writs the sound source data read out from a sound source ROM of a host computer system 1 in a local memory 4 through the CPU 2 and reads out and reproduces by a DSP 5, and the DSP 5 is provided with an interruption address register 8 controlled by the CPU 2 so that a specified address showing the address of the required sound source data is outputted, an address generation circuit 7 outputting the read-out address of the local memory 4 and a comparator 9 comparing the specified address with the read-out address and supplying the interruption data to the CPU 2 when two addresses coincide. Thus, since the intereruption data are supplied to the CPU 2 at the timing when the required sound source data are reproduced, the reproduction of the sound source data is detected. |
