PURPOSE:To easily confirm which document is already corrected without confirming the contents by holding a history regarding proofreading processes of documents, document by document, at the end or interruption of document preparation and displaying it with an instruction. CONSTITUTION:A user takes a document to be processed out of a document data storage means 11. Error detection for this document is already completed and a shaded part indicates an erroneous spot. The user corrects the erroneous spot by using a document correcting means 12 and when the document is closed by interrupting the proofreading operation in this state, a control means 15 stores history information regarding this document in a correction information storage means 14. To know he state of a document stored in the document data storage means 11, the document name is inputted and a display of its history is instructed. The control means 15 takes the history information corresponding to the document out of an information group stored in the correction information storage means 14, and makes preparations corresponding to its pattern and displays a message on a display means 16. |
