PURPOSE:To allow the user to easily recognize from which key broadcast station a radio wave comes by displaying identification information of the key broadcast station in addition to identification information of a relay broadcast station even when the receiver receives multiplex data including names of broadcast stations of a radio wave of the relay broadcast station. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 2 gives a control signal to a tuner section 2, which conducts tuning control and PLL control or the like and controls the entire receiver. The microcomputer 2 discriminates whether or not a radio wave from a relay broadcast station is received and discriminates whether or not reception of relay broadcast station name data, that is, multiplex data of identification information is finished when the radio wave of the relay broadcast station is received. When finished, the name of the relay broadcast station is displayed on a display section 7. Then a timer starts and when the timer expires, a name of the key broadcast station is displayed on the display section 7. Furthermore, the timer starts, and when the timer is up, the name of the relay broadcast station is again displayed on the display section 7, then from which key broadcast station the radio wave comes is easily recognized.
