PURPOSE:To provide a chip component type LED nearly equal to an LED chip in size and excellent in reliability. CONSTITUTION:Two insulating boards 10 each provided with a metal layer 11 are arranged confronting each other and sandwiching an LED chip 1 provided with electrodes 1a and 1b in between them, the metal layers 11 and the electrodes 1a and 1b of the LED chip 1 are connected together with conductive paste or solder bumps 4 or the like, and a translucent resin 5 is filled between the metal layers 11 to seal up the LED chip 1. |
