CONSTITUTION: When the one-line scanning of a laser beam printer is completed, the synchronous signal of a next line, namely an HSNC signal is generated. When this HSNC signal is generated, a second counter 405 is cleared. When the HSNC signal is not generated on the other hand, the output of the second counter is increased one by one whenever the output of a comparator 407 is at a high level. Then when the HSNC signal is generated 16 times, the output of a frequency divider 403 is made a high level. At this time the output of a third counter is increased by one. Then, the increase of the output of the third counter 406 by one means the increase of a memory address in an area increased by the degree of 1 mm in a sub-scanning direction. Operation like this is repeated and the area designation of entire originals of A3 size is finished. |
