RING PAINTING METHOD, DEVICE AND JIG

PURPOSE:To provide a ring painting technique which can perform painting uniform in thickness and obtain a coating film high in quality. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of piston rings 70 are fixed on the outer circumference of the cylindrical member 6 of a painting jig 5 at equal intervals in the axial direction. The painting jig 5 is rotatably and horizontally held by a chain conveyor 40 so as to be carried in a painting process. In the painting process, the painting jig 5 is rotated by a drive means 51, and concurrently paired painting guns 54 and 55 disposed at the upper position of the painting jig 5 apply a coat on the upper and lower surfaces 70a and 70b of the piston ring 70 while being moved along the axial direction of the painting jig 5.
