PURPOSE:To prevent the rapid lowering of a torque of a motor for a compressor by roughly adjusting the drop rate of an operational frequency of the compressor to the pressure drop of a freezing cycle in an air-conditioner having an inverter device. CONSTITUTION:An identifying means 11 for an outside air temperature, a selective means 12 for the drop rate of an operational frequency and a change-over means 13 for the drop rate of the operational frequency are additionally provided to an outdoor unit control part 2 having an inverter device 9. The identifying means 11 identifies one of dividedly preset temperature regions, to which the outside air temperature detected by an outside air temperature detecting means 10 corresponds. The selective means 12 selects the drop rate of an operational frequency corresponding to the temperature region identified by the identifying means 11. The changeover means 13 changes over a preset drop rate to the drop rate selected by the selective means 12. The drop rate of the operational frequency is slowed down when an outside air temperature is high.
