PURPOSE:To prevent the soiling of the inside of an image forming device and occurrence of a miss-copy, and to reduce the power consumption, by turning off a power source after the completion of the image forming operation, even though the main switch has been turned off during the image forming operation. CONSTITUTION:The image forming device is provided with the control means 1 by which the power source is put off, when the power is supplied in the state of the main switch 5 turned on, the power source synchronization changing means 2 is changed to the outlet synchronization by changing over the driving means 3, next, at the time main switch 5 is turned off during the image forming operation, the image forming operation is continued while discontinuing the succeeding paper feeding, and after the last paper sheet is ejected, on the other hand, the power source is immediately put off when the image forming operation is not performed. Now, it is controlled so that the image forming operation is continued even when the main switch 5 is turned off and on detecting the switching off by the main switch ON-OFF detecting means 6, the power source is put off after continuing the image forming operation until the paper sheet in process of the image forming operation has finished. |
