PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of a line connecting to an internal communication means of a communication controller and an external communication equipment in an image forming device management system. CONSTITUTION:A management device sends a discrimination signal (ID signal) used to discriminate communication by an internal communication means of a communication controller 18 or communication by a telephone set or a facsimile equipment being an external communication equipment to the controller 18 and when the communication controller 18 detects an ID signal by an ID detection circuit 191, a public line is connected to an internal communication means including a MODEM 181 and to an external communication equipment when not detect respectively by analog switches 180a, 180b. When the facsimile equipment is connected (in FAX mode), the facsimile equipment acquires the public line and the detection of the ID signal is started after the acquisition. Furthermore, no ID signal is detected for a call from an exchange in a public line network. |
