PURPOSE:To provide an optical equipment with less motor number by utilizing a part of the power of a shutter driving motor to hold the lens group space of a variable power optical system. CONSTITUTION:A lock mechanism (formed out of a locking member 9, the notch 20c of a second group lens frame 2, and the like) for preventing the change of the mutual space between a first group lens frame 1 and the second group lens frame 2 is provided. After the change (variable power operation) of the mutual space between the first group frame 1 and the second group frame 2 is carried out by a motor 8 through a cam cylinder 5, a locking member 9 is rotated by a shutter driving motor 14 through an arm 15, thereby, a claw 9-1 is engaged with the notch 2-c to prevent the change of the mutual space between the first group frame 1 and the second group frame 2, and the first group frame 1 and the second group frame 2 are integrally moved in the optical axial direction by the motor 8 in this state, thereby, focusing operation is performed. Thus, a focusing motor is not required. |
