The present invention relates to a vacuum cleaner having a housing which is mounted in particular on wheels (26, 27) or rollers (castors), in the case of which a commercially available suction hose equipped with a suction brush is connected to the vacuum-cleaner housing and there is provided a connection cable which can be wound up on a cable winding device, the vacuum cleaner also having a handle and closable storage receptacles for functional and accessory parts. In order to develop such a vacuum cleaner in such a manner that it is possible in a simple way to retain varous working means and accessory parts on the vacuum cleaner in a simple and operationally reliable manner, it is proposed according to the invention to provide special storage devices depending on the type of functional and accessory parts. By assigning the individual parts to the place specially allocated to them, good storage of all the functional and accessory parts of the vacuum cleaner is ensured. In addition, the storage receptacles provided on the vacuum cleaner have the advantage that if the vacuum cleaner is not in use all the parts which belong to the vacuum cleaner and are required for proper cleaning are retained directly on the vacuum cleaner itself and are fastened in an easily accessible manner. <IMAGE>
