摘要 The extensometer has a base body (18), which supports two measuring limbs (12) that rest in frictional contact on a sample body (16) to be measured. Because of the frictional contact, the measuring limbs (12) move relative to each other when the sample body is exposed to external stresses. This movement of the measuring limbs (12) is measured via a signal generator (24). The extensometer (10) is mounted floating, in that, in the intermediate space between a resilient body (36) connected to the extensometer (10) and a fixed mounting part (28), gas is introduced towards the resilient body (36). The gas cushion which is formed presses, on the one hand, the extensometer (10) with its measuring limbs (12) with frictional contact against the sample body (16), and allows the extensometer (10), on the other hand, to swing in accordance with the movement of the measurement points. <IMAGE>
