Increasing the crushing force of slowly rotating multiroll crushers in the case of inhomogeneous material to be crushed

A hydraulic drive for slowly rotating two- or three-roll crushers is fitted with a variable servopump. In order to design the hydraulic drive in an optimum fashion, the crushing operation is performed at a pressure which is reduced by the factor of the increase in crushing force required for extreme crushed parts. In the case of the occurrence of these extreme parts, the hydraulic pressure is increased in conjunction with a decrease in the volumetric flow. The required adjusting time is achieved by means of a torque arm which makes the drive capable of being swivelled out and which is supported via a retractable spring element which preferably acts at both ends.
