These feeders comprise a cross arm which is arranged between two presses and on the guides of which a carriage can be moved horizontally. Mounted on the carriage is a vertically movable workpiece carrier. The intention of the invention is to avoid storage devices between the presses, to create good accessibility to the tool spaces of the presses, and to achieve short workpiece interchanging times by virtue of high speeds of transportation. The intention is for the turning process to take place during the transportation movement. This is achieved by virtue of the following features: - a cross arm, which can be moved transversely to the direction of transportation, between the presses, - guideways on the cross arm for a lifting carriage, - vertically displaceable lifting columns on the lifting carriage, the lifting columns supporting, at the lower end, a U-shaped bow and adjoining the latter two further guide rails running in the direction of transportation, - a longitudinal carriage on each of these guide rails, on each of which carriages there is fastened pivotable gripping tongs which face each other.
