The wheels of a test vehicle are placed on one or more driven band elements so that the pivot axle bolts of each vehicle wheel (8) lie in front of each wheel axle in the direction of travel with their longitudinal centre lines (9) intercepting the vehicle wheel. The vehicle body is decoupled from the vehicle wheels in the vertical direction. The pivot axle bolts are movable relative to the vehicle axles in the vertical direction, and this movement is limited by stops. USE/ADVANTAGE - Test bed is designed to eliminate problem of misalignment between vehicle longitudinal axis and direction of motion of wheel driving bands.
