A process is disclosed for the continuous or batch extrusion of continuous products comprising at least two layers, such as pipes, shaped sections, panels and films, at least one layer being produced from a lacquer. This is achieved with the aid of a device comprising at least one extruder (2; 3), a melting device (5) and a device (4) for merging the at least two melt flows, one of which is formed from a thermoplastic powder lacquer. A melt which is thus co-extruded with the flow of molten thermoplastic powder lacquer can be used to coat (steel) pipes or cables which consequently acquire an outer layer of lacquer.
