Sulphosuccinamates

Novel sulphosuccinamates of the formula (I) <IMAGE> in which R<1> is hydrogen or an alkyl radical having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, R<2> is OH or an N(R<1>)-[Z] group, [Z] is a polyhydroxyalkyl radical having 6 to 12 carbon atoms and 5 to 10 hydroxyl groups and X is an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal or ammonium, are distinguished by an outstanding washing, rinsing, foaming and cleaning power and above-average skin cosmetic tolerability. They are therefore suitable for the production of a multiplicity of surface-active agents.
