A device (1) is intended for connecting a dental prosthesis to the residual teeth (15). It comprises a male part (20) and a female part (40) that can be connected thereto, the male part having a latch socket (25) that is open at its edge and the female part having a latch member that engages the latch socket and can be brought into a locking position. The device is particularly designed as a rotating latch attachment and possesses, as the locking member, a rotatable locking axis body (30) with a lamellar cut-out (34) or such like locking section, which can be laterally inserted in the latch socket (25) and can be fixed by rotating it into the locking position. For the locking axis body (30) there are rotation-limiting means, on the one hand in a ready-to-use position, and on the other hand in a locking position. Moreover, there is also an intermediate position in which the locking axis body (3) can be axially inserted and removed.
