The resilient strip (12) is resilient at least along one of its two longitudinal border regions (16, 17), engaging into a panel groove, and is of a greater height than the panel-groove width, with the result that the elastic longitudinal border region is elastically compliant for insertion into the associated panel groove and, in the inserted state, is supported on the groove walls, and the resilient-strip surface located in the visible region of the panel cladding presses against the outer groove edge located in the visible region. <IMAGE>
