Device for in vitro determination of the resistance and effectiveness of skin protection agents with regard to flowing liquids, which is constructed from two flat plane-parallel plates, the separation of which can be adjusted in order to produce accurately reproducible flows between the plates. For their part, the flows flush out the material to be examined from channels cut longitudinally and transversely with respect to the flow in the baseplate, whereupon the extracted material can be analytically determined in a circuit or the decrease in the layer thickness of the substance to be tested in the sample cut can be optically or otherwise measured. <IMAGE>
