A textile lubricant comprises a coning oil and a linear, triorganosilyl end-blocked polysiloxane copolymer consisting of units of formulµ where R is hydrogen, a hydrocarbon radical containing less than 9 carbon atoms, or a radical of formulµ where R<SP>1</SP> is hydrogen or a hydrocarbon radical containing less than 9 carbon atoms, n is at least 9, x is at least 6 and (A) forms 18-32 wt. per cent of (A)+(B)+(C), (B) forms 32-38% and (C) forms 36-44%. The coning oil may be a mineral oil. Many specific examples of copolymers are given. |
