PURPOSE:To prevent a filter medium from getting frozen or wet by providing a heating means to supply the amount of heat limited to the amount enough for heating and drying a filter medium of a filter for cool air cleaning. CONSTITUTION:An air conditioner 2A and a room 1 to be air-conditioned are connected with through a circulating air line 3 consisting of an air returning line 3a and an air feeding line 3b. The air conditioner 2A is equipped with a direct expansion cooling coil 10A on the upstream side and a high-performance filter 11A on the downstream side in an air line inside a casing. An electric heater 15A for defrosting operation is additionally installed on the direct expansion cooling coil 10A. Also, a hot air nozzle 16A to jet out hot air for heating and drying a filter medium during defrosting operation is installed on the high- performance filter 11A. A filter medium 48, therefore, can be prevented from getting frozen or wet by heating the filter medium 48 during defrosting operation. |
