PURPOSE:To uniformly mix cooked rice with vinegar, etc., in a short time and simultaneously efficiently carry out cooling. CONSTITUTION:The objective apparatus is composed of a rotating container 2, supported on a base 1 so as to rotate about a horizontal rotation axial line (C) tilted relatively to an axial center (C2) and having an opening (2A) at one end in the direction of the axial center (C2), a lid body 3, having attached blades 24 inserted into the rotating container 2 and detachably closing the opening (2a), a means 5 for rotating and driving the container and a means 6 for forcedly aerating the interior of the rotating container 2. The bottom plate (2B) of the container is equipped with an air feed opening 17 and the lid body 3 is provided with a gas discharge opening 21. Cooling air is made to flow in the rotating container 2 to efficiently cool cooked rice while alternately and repeatedly carrying out reversion and movement for partially lifting the cooked rice stirred in the container 2 from the side of the opening (2A) with the blades 24, dropping the lifted cooked rice onto the cooked rice on the side of the bottom plate (2B), subsequently lifting the cooked rice from the side of the bottom plate (2B) and dropping the lifted cooked rice onto the cooked rice on the side of the opening (2A). |
