The alarm device, on the basis of a non-conductive loop (1A) which has its one end fixed to the bed frame on one side of the bed, extends over the head of the patient in the bed. The other end of the loop is provided with a coupling plug (12) connected to a coupling box (8) which is fixed to the bed frame on the other side of the bed. The alarm device produces an alarm if the patient moves more than a predetermined position in the bed, so that the coupling plug of the loop is drawn out of connection with the coupling box. The loop is drawn through the upper part of a coverlet so that it is concealed and inaccessible for the patient. The coupling box is provided with two outlets (2A, 2B), in either of which the coupling plug can be engaged. A service plug (3) is easily accessible on the box and can be used to neutralise the alarm rapidly. |
