PURPOSE:To automatically polish rice grains to a prescribed grain polishing degree by using one unit of measuring instrument regardless of the state of brown rice. CONSTITUTION:The lipid content of the polished rice discharged from a rice milling machine 16 is measured by a near IR spectrochemical analysis apparatus and the pressure in the polishing chamber of the rice milling machine 16 is adjusted by this content. This near IR spectrochemical analysis apparatus and a pressure controller 11 for controlling the pressure in the polishing chamber of the rice milling machine 16 by controlling the degree of compression of the resistance cap disposed in a discharge port 17 of the rice milling machine 16 are connected via a controller.
