PURPOSE:To provide a starter equipped with a planetary gear reducer having a planetary gear speed reducing mechanism with one way clutch of which durability is improvable while realizing reduction in the number of parts with a simplified structure as well as blocking dust and dirty water by incorporating one way clutch in a casing of the planetary gear speed reducing mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A one-way clutch accomodated in a casing 5 having therein a planetary gear speed reducer such as a planetary gear 30 is provided with a small dia. cylindrical part 53 (clutch inner) of the casing 5, a small dia. cylindrical part 44c (clutch outer) of an internal gear 44 fitted on the part 53, and a clutch roller 70 and a spring disposed between both 53, 44c. This one-way clutch is formed with a smaller dia. than the outer dia. of the large dia. cylinderical part of the gear 44 having inner teeth 45 at its inner circumferntial face. |
