PURPOSE:To provide an ultrasonograph to clearly grasp the relation between a probe position to a subject and a tomographic image obtained by an information from the probe, displaying the vicinity of an area surrounding the probe position on a bodymark and the other areas in which the probe position is shown. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic wave probe 1 driven by an ultrasonic transmitter/ receiver controller 2 receives a reflected signal, which is distributed to a DSC 3 to be processed into an image signal. A mechanical scan device 5 is equipped to detect a trace of the probe 1 through a supporting rod, and the DSC 3 contains a mechanical scan area discrimination and display circuit 30, and a mechanical scan position display circuit 31. A tomograph 10 is displayed in the main area of a monitor screen 4A, a body mark 11 is displayed in the left-and-lower area, above which a scan area 12A superimposed with the body mark 11 and in the upper area an enlarged scan area 12 are displayed. |
