PURPOSE:To obtain a lubricating oil composition containing a non-chlorinated specific ether-based compound as base oil, used under refrigerant atmosphere consisting essentially of a refrigerant, having sufficient viscosity and volume resistivity, excellent in durability and stability to high temperature and suitable for refrigerator, etc. CONSTITUTION:This lubricating oil composition contains an ether-based compound expressed by the formula [R1 is a 7-100C polyhydric alcohol residue; R2 is a 2-8C alkylene; R3 is 1-30C alkyl; (m) is 0-1100; (n) is 7-30] and having 350-5000 average molecular weight and 5-500cst dynamic viscosity at 40 deg.C as base oil. Furthermore, R1 in the formula is preferably a residue of glycerin, trimethylolpropane, pentaerythrytol or sorbitol or a dehydration condensation product of their each derivative or their mixture or a residue of an addition condensation product of their polyhydric alcohols with a di(or tri)organic chloride. |
