PURPOSE:To provide an alpha-olefin oligomer composition obtained by the oligemerization reaction of an alpha-olefin, richin polymers having carbon number of 4-8 and, accordingly, giving little load on fractional process and advantageously usable as various kinds of industrial raw materials. CONSTITUTION:This alpha-olefin oligomer composition is produced by the oligomerization reaction of an alpha-olefin and contains >=90wt.% of polymers containing 4-8 carbon atoms and <=10wt.% of polymers having carbon number of >=10. Preferably, the composition contains >=90wt.% of 1-hexene. |
