PURPOSE:To obtain necessary image density, contrast and printing speed with a simple structure. CONSTITUTION:This image forming apparatus comprises an aperture electrode 1 for controlling a flow of charged toner, and a toner carrier roller 14 for carrying toner and supplying the toner to the electrode 1, wherein an insulation spacer 13 is adhered to a surface of the roller 14. Thus, a control electrode 4 provided on the electrode 1 is located oppositely to the roller 14, and since both are not brought into contact with one another for causing the both to be short-circuited, toner 16 rigidly adhered to the roller 14 can be flown onto a support by a small drive voltage. |
