PURPOSE:To provide an alarm device for a vehicle capable of raising an alarm concerning an obstacle in the periphery so that a driver can more safely drive. CONSTITUTION:An obstacle in the periphery of a self vehicle is detected by an obstacle detection means 1, and in the case when the obstacle is detected, a first alarm is raised by a first alarm means 5. A reaction state of a driver to the first alarm is detected by a driver state detection means 6, and in the case when the first alarm is not recognized, a second alarm is raised by a second alarm means 7. The driver state detection means 6 detects a position coordinate and a line of sight of eyes of the driver, detects a direction of his face, detects uttered voice, and judges a driver's state. |
