A process for the production of an ester having the general Formula (I) in which A denotes one of the following radicals: or n denotes one of the integers 1 to 4 and R denotes an alkyl group having from one to ten carbon atoms, a phenyl group or an alkylphenyl group or phenylalkyl group having up to ten carbon atoms, comprises reaction of a ketone having the general Formula (II) in which n has the above meaning with a vinyl magnesium chloride solution followed by acylation of the intermediately formed Grignard adduct with an acid anhydride having the general Formula (III) in which R has the above meaning, without isolation of intermediate products, wherein the acylation is carried out at from 20‹ to 100‹ C. |
