PURPOSE:To impart excellent feeling and washing shrink resistance to fiber by carrying out the exhaustion treatment of animal fiber with a composition prepared by blending a specific organosiloxane emulsion composition with an exhaustion catalyst composition. CONSTITUTION:This method for exhaustion treatment of fiber comprise treating the fiber with (A) an emulsion composition for treating the fiber prepared by blending an organopolysiloxane emulsion composition composed of (A1) 100 pts.wt. amino group-containing organopolysiloxane expressed by formula I [R is a 1-20C monovalent hydrocarbon; R<1> is a bivalent hydrocarbon; R<2> and R<3> are each H or a monovalent hydrocarbon; A is H or a 1-5C alkoxy; (m) and (n) are each >=1; (a) is 0-5] with (A2) 0.1-38 pts.wt. organosilane, etc., expressed by formula II [Q is a monovalent organic group including amino, epoxy, acryloxy, etc., or a 1-20C monovalent hydrocarbon; R is a 1-20C monovalent hydrocarbon; R<4> is a 1-5C monovalent hydrocarbon; (b) is 0 or 1], (A3) 1-50 pts.wt. colloidal silica, (A4) 0.1-20 pts.wt. catalyst for condensational reaction, (A5) 1-30 pts.wt. nonionic or cationic surfactant and (A6) water with (B) an exhaustion catalyst composition composed of (B1) 10-90wt.% anionic surfactant and (B2) 90-10wt.% organic titanic acid esters, etc. |
