PURPOSE:To provide a multicolor thermal recording material forming a recording image excellent in color reproducibility. CONSTITUTION:In a multicolor thermal recording material wherein two or more thermal recording layers containing diazo compds. and a coupler allowing the diazo compds to develop a color by heating are provided on a support, the diazo compd. contained in the lower layer near to the support is subjected to photodegradation on the longer wavelength side as compared with the diazo compd. contained in the upper layer and a layer containing zinc oxide particles with a particle size of 0.1mum or less is provided between both thermal recording layers.
