PURPOSE:To prevent the operation of an ignition device except by right key operation by driving and controlling the ignition device based on the period of time from the time when the movable contact point of an ignition switch departs from a fixed contact point on the OFF side to the time when it touches the fixed contact point on the ON side. CONSTITUTION:One circuit with two contact points is employed as an ignition switch 2 in an ignition controller 1. The movable contact point 2a of the ignition switch 2 is connected to the positive electrode side of a battery 5. Electric power supply from the battery 5 supplies power to an ignition control means 3, and also supplies power to an ignition device 4 via the ignition switch 2. The ignition device 4 is so controlled as to be in its operative condition by an ignition control means 3 that if the time when the movable contact point 2b of the ignition switch 2 departs from the fixed contact point 2c on the OFF side to the time when it touches the fixed contact point 2d on the ON side is within an allowable range. Consequently, operation of the ignition device 4 except by normal key operation is prevented. |
