POROUS SINTERED COMPACT AND SOLID ELECTROLYTE TYPE FUEL CELL

PURPOSE:To impart stability to a heat cycle to a porous sintered compact and to regulate the coefft. of thermal expansion of the sintered compact to the relatively low range of about 10.2X10<-6>-10.8X10<-6>K<-1>. CONSTITUTION:This porous sintered compact is. made of a perovskite type multiple oxide. The site A of the multiple oxide consists of Ca and/or Se as a 1st metallic element, one or more kinds of elements selected from among Y and rare earth elements other than La and Ce as 2nd metallic elements and La. The 1st metallic element accounts for 5-70mol% of the site A. The site B of the multiple oxide contains Mn.
