PURPOSE:To prevent clogging of a cloth when the cloth is printed while holding the flexibility of the cloth, by providing in a cloth-accommodating cassette a tape discharge guide at a position separated specific times a width of a printing tape from an end of the cassette CONSTITUTION:At the printing time, a printing tape 7 being guided between a platen roll 21 and a thermal head 20 is moved together with a thermal transfer ribbon 5. A coloring agent of the thermal transfer ribbon 5 is transferred onto the printing tape by the thermal head 20. After the printing, the tape is cut. Since a tape discharge guide 2 is separated 1/6-3 times a width of the printing tape (L1) from an end E of a cloth-accommodating cassette 1, even if a force is impressed to the printing tape 7 to send the tape into the cassette 1, a front end of the printing tape 7 is not taken into the cassette 1 through the tape discharge guide 2. Accordingly, clogging of a cloth is restricted. |
