PURPOSE:To reduce deterioration of flavor and fragrance of food by heating edible powder or granule such as buckwheat flour or wheat flour by microwave while holding the edible powder in a tubular state by two sheets of an upper and a lower conveyor belts. CONSTITUTION:Edible powder or granule supplied from a feeder 180 is sent to a microwave irradiation chamber 120 while holding the edible powder or granule in a tubular state by two sheets of an upper and a lower conveyor belts 111 and 112 and the treated edible powder or granule is taken out from a discharging device 170. The edible powder, etc., is heated by microwave in an approximately sealed state in a tubular form and sterilized with steam generated from the edible powder, etc., and by microwave to suppress vaporization of water and volatilization of flavor. |
