PURPOSE:To obtain an ink jet type printing method enabling direct printing of a character or a pattern on the like even on a material having no water absorption properties, by executing printing while heating a material to be printed on which the character or the pattern is printed through the intermediary of a nozzle head of printing equipment. CONSTITUTION:Ink jet type printing equipment is set beforehand in a state wherein printing can be executed. Meanwhile, a material 7 to be printed is fitted on a drawing board and heated to a prescribed temperature by a face- shaped electric heater 5. In the case when the area of the material 7 is large, on the occasion, it is unnecessary to heat the whole surface of the material 7 to the same temperature simultaneously. In a state wherein the material 7 is heated to the prescribed temperature, the ink jet type printing equipment is operated to print a desired character or pattern on the material 7. Since the material 7 is heated, water being a volatile component of ink transferred onto the material 7 in this way is vaporized immediately and only a pigment component forming the character or the pattern is left in sticking on the surface of the material 7. |
