摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To control a sheet thickness with excellent precision by directly detecting slip between a velocity detecting roller, etc., and a rolled stock. CONSTITUTION:An inlet side rolled stock volume V11 is calculated based on data of an inlet side velocity detecting roller 6 and an inlet side sheet thickness meter 7 and an outlet side rolled stock volume V21 is calculated based on data of an outlet side sheet thickness meter 9 and an outlet side velocity detecting roller 8. The corresponding relations of these respective rolled stock volumes V11, V21 are compared with each other and whether or not slip occurs in the velocity detecting rollers 6, 8 is judged. When it is judged that the slip is generated, the thickness control is stopped in the control of the feed forward system or the mass flow system. Even when V11 and V21 are equal, if the velocity of the rolled stock 1 detected by the outlet side velocity detecting roller and the velocity of the rolled stock at a part just under the rolling roll 5 obtained from the velocity detecting equipment 12 are different, it is judged that slip is generated between the rolling roll and the rolled stock.</p>
