CATALYSTS, PROCESS IN WHICH THEY CAN BE USED AND PROCESS FOR PREPARING THEM The present invention relates to catalyst containing a refractory oxide carrier and as catalytically active metals between 2 and 15% by weight of platinum and/or palladium, between 5 and 40% by weight of molybdenum and/or tungsten and optionally between 0.5 and 5% by weight of cobalt and/or nickel, which molybdenum and/or tungsten are mainly present in the form of their sulphides. Further, the invention relates to a process comprising contacting a hydrocarbon feedstock containing aromatic compounds with such catalyst in the presence of hydrogen, and to a process for preparing such catalyst.
