A PVDF binder containing alkyl (alkyl)acrylate units and units having a carboxylic acid function. The PVDF-containing binder forms a barrier against hydrocarbons. Materials containing said binder, particularly fuel pipes including polyamide and said binder together with PVDF, are also disclosed.
