Wavelength duplexer

On the top side (2) of a silicon substrate (1), there are located two mutually aligned, anisotropically etched V-grooves (3, 3') with optical waveguides (optical fibres) (4, 4'). The end faces (5, 5') of the V-grooves (3, 3') are coated in each case with a wavelength-selective filter (6, 6'). Above one of the filters (6), on the top side (3) of the substrate (1), there is located an optical receiver element (7). On the bottom side (8) of the substrate (1), there is located a recess (9) with a lens (10). Transmitted light from the optical waveguide (4') having the wavelength lambda 2 reaches the optical waveguide (4) via the filter (6'), the lens (10) and the filter (6). Received light from the optical waveguide (4) having the wavelength lambda 1 is reflected at the filter (6) and reaches the receiver element (7). <IMAGE>
