<p>In the representative embodiments described in the specification, an ink jet head (10) includes an ink reservoir (23) supplying ink (24) to a series of pressure chambers (26) through corresponding supply passages (25) and a sealed vacuum reservoir (29) communicating with the pressure chambers (26) through a semipermeable wall (30) to extract dissolved air from the ink in the pressure chambers.
